THE STAN COLLECTIVE- OLYMPUS AU

In June 2017, Kel Morales and I embarked on the journey of a lifetime through the untouched regions of Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan.
We had no brief apart from capturing the raw beauty laid out before us. The trip was sponsored by Olympus Australia, and it was the perfect opportunity to put the new Om-D E-M1 Mark II and M.Zuiko 12-100mm F4 PRO IS lens's through their paces.
This is a small selection of the images we captured over our month in the country with a handful of drone images taken using the DJI Mavic Pro.
Key Locations
KYRGYZSTAN / TAJIKISTAN

Matt Horspool, Photographer
Deep down Matt had always loved the mountains and remote locations. After travelling around the world and back again, he never managed to visit Central Asia. At the time, this was Matt's first major photography project and set the gears in motion to become a full-time photographer.

Kel Morales, Photographer
At the time, Kel and I hadn't been friends for long, yet we instantly clicked and knew this adventure would be great for both of us. Kel had never travelled before apart from leaving his home country of the Philippines to move to Australia. This was going to be a challenge on many levels and would completely put him out of his comfort zone. A desire for adventure and travel was spawned and this will not be the last time we see him in this region of the world.
